What Causes Swollen Lymph Nodes In Neck After Taking Morning-after-pill?
I had to take the morning after pill about a week ago, and the lymph nodes in my neck on each side, seem to be a little swollen for the past couple of days. My throat isn t sore and doesn t look red or pussy. Could it be from the hormones of the pill? Other than that, I feel fine.
Generally lymph nodes swell up in response to infections in the body, and not otherwise. But some women have reported swollen lymph nodes when there appear to be changes in their hormone levels, especially during pregnancy.
So although I do not think the ECP should have caused the swollen lymph nodes, I cannot completely rule it out either. It would be wise to wait and watch to see if you develop any other symptoms, or just visit your doctor for a more elaborate evaluation.
Best wishes.
