My husband is 52.His neck and lymph nodes are always swelling causing him to feel like he is choking. When swollen he also has stroke like symptoms like having trouble thinking, loss of ability to think, speech trouble, and has trouble urinating. Also his roof of his mouth is spongy and throat always hurts. These symptoms have been going on since had stroke 2 years ago and we still have no answers. He can only do a couple hours of light work then has to sleep for hours or days to get energy to do things.

What Causes Swollen Lymph Nodes In The Neck?
Hi, It is possible that cervical lymphadenopathy with stroke-like symptoms means: 1. Tubercular lymphadenitis with cerebral endarteritis. 2. Malignant lymphadenopathy with secondaries to the brain. 3. Infectious mononucleosis with aseptic meningitis. 4. it may be symptoms of chronic fatigue syndrome etc. Please get it done MRI brain, CSF fluid analysis, monospot test, lymph node biopsy, chest X-ray and ECG may give clue. Please consult your physician, he will examine and treat you accordingly. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
