Yes, the left posterior portion of my neck seems somewhat swollen and inflammed causing a sensitive feeling to the touch. I also notice a bit of sensitivity in the skin of my left arm as well- kinda under the forearm area and along the top of my wrist to top of my left hand. What is causing this?
As per history, it indicates that there is some nerve entrapment in the cervical region.
Taking an MRI should be of help to understand the extent of the soft tissue injury. using a neck collar and hot water fermentation for neck should reduce the Symptoms.
Post which you can start exercise for the neck, like static neck strengthening exercises and upper limb strengthening.
Most cases in my clinical experience of 12 years have responded well to conservative management.
