What Causes Swollen Sore And Red Eye?
Hi, my left eye is very swollen, red and sore. Almost bruised. The chemist told me it was a spider bite. I thought it was a stye but she was sure, especially as I dont have a history of styes. She gave me antibiotic cream but it's still sore after 3 days. Do you think it was a spider?

It seems from the history that you are having swollen, tender and red eye. This is probably because of stye. The treatment is by use of antibiotics and anti-inflammatory drugs. Spider bite will not present like this.
If possible do send a photo of the eye do that I can confirm the diagnosis and advice you accordingly.
