What Causes Swollen Vagina With History Of Bacterial Vaginosis?

I seen my family physician today. A well woman exam was performed. I mentioned to her that I have been fighting a odor and itching and had been diagnosed with bacterial vaginosis in the past and treated. It s like I start feeling great and the same symptoms reappear. I have also had a total hysterectomy. Today she noticed discharge and made a comment you are very swollen inside like a strawberry with bumps ...we will need to wait for results...what could cause the swelling like this?

I have gone through your history and understand your concern. It could be due to vaginal infection caused by fungal and bacterial infection. You can take antibiotics and antifungal for the same. Hope found useful, feel free to ask more information.
