Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi there, i have a 13 month old baby who is corrected age is 10 mths .. she is 7.2 kilo and 72cm long she is being tested for failure to thrive due to the percentiles not matching up, however she woke this morning with both of her wrists swollen her right more than her left, there is no bruising and now seem unsure as to what may cause this. she also has clicky hip and is extremely hyperflexible kind regards
Her symptoms could be related to a genetic disorder (Ehlers Danlos) or local inflammation. I recommend checking her thyroid hormone levels too. Consulting with a pediatrician as soon as possible in necessary in order to perform some tests to help find the possible causes underlying her situation.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
