What Causes Tear On The Tip Of Foreskin During Intercourse?
Hello, I am a 50 year old man. I have noticed that for the past 5 months I have been noticing a slight tear on the tip of my foreskin on my penis and it hurts whenever I am being intimate with my wife. I went to the doctor and he told me it looks like a fungus and to use an anti-fungus ointment. I have and it would heal then when we become intimate it tears again. What could it be.
Hi and welcome to HCM. As an Urologist, i can understand your anxiety. Recurrent tears of the prepuce, could be due to fungal infection or phimosis. Only a local examination by an Urologist, can confirm the exact cause. Maintain good penile hygiene and avoid moisture over the area. You need to undergo the following tests :Diabetics are prone for infection. 1. urine routine and culture. 2. blood routine, creatinine,RBS,LFT,and platelets. Dr.Matthew J. Mangat.
