What Causes Tender Scalp, Soreness And Numbness On Eyebrow?

I have soreness like a bruise on my right eyebrow. It feels heavy and a little numb. My scalp on that side is also tender. There is no tenderness of my temple. No visual disturbances. I had a headache all last week and it went away. No fevers or chills or loss of appetite

Dermatologist 's  Response
hi. i have read your question and understand your query.

your symptoms are unilateral and they include heaviness, numbness and pain which are typical of nerve involvement. unilateral lesions and nerve involvement are indicative of herpes zoster. its a viral infection caused by reactivation of varicella virus.

if such a patient walks to my clinic i would start the patient on valciclovir 1gm tds for 7 days. also pregabalin 75mg at bed time to relieve the symptoms.

i suggest you see a dermatologist and get a prescription.

hope this was helpful. for any further queries please get back to us. thanks.
