What Causes Tenderness And Lump Under The Calf Of Leg?
I ve noticed tenderness just under my right calf on 4th of July. A day later there was a large bruise and more tenderness to touch, and a lump inside. The bruising discoloration is gone but a lump remains with tenderness. What could this be the result of? I did not bump my leg according to memory. I don t remember being bitten while enjoying the day at the beach in the sand.

Some time it can happen with very trivial injury which you may have not noticed at all. I would suggest you to apply hot water fometation, take Brufen and antibiotic tablet and voletran ointment. This will decrease in size very soon. If it stays then you need to get ultrasound exam and may need surgical removal .
