What Causes Tenderness And Pain In The Joint Of The Thumb?
I have pain and tenderness and decreased range of motion in the joint where my thumb goes into my wrist. theres an indentation there and it is very sore and hurts when I do certain movements. I have not fallen and it came on about a week ago and is very sore

It could be due to minor contusion following the trauma.
As of now, you can take analgesics like Acetaminophen or Diclofenac for pain relief and apply ice packs for symptomatic relief.
If pain persists better to consult an orthopedician and get an MRI scan done.
