What Causes Tenderness Around An Esophageal Dilation Area?

Hi, yesterday I had an esophageal dilation . Swallowing is not a problem, but I feel some tenderness in the area when I inhale. It is improving, but I have not heard this discussed. I also have a small hiatal hernia which was of no concern, just noted. Any thoughts?

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Your air may enter into trachea while breathing it may won't cause lower esophageal pain unless you swallowing air. Other possibilities like during endoscopy procedure the muscosa may be irritated or gastric content may entered into esophagus may lead to symptoms. Use tablet Pantoprazole before breakfast for one week. If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
