What Causes The Blood Not To Clot With Coagulants Normal?

hi i had a tooth out and it would not clot and had to have it stitched. i was advised to go to my dr for blood tests - they foned today and said the coagulants were fine and i was to go back for some more blood tests - what else could they be looking for

Hello,

if by coagulants you mean INR (or prothrombin time) or activated partial thromboplastin time then you should also check a complete blood count for platelet number disorders and blood clotting time. If both are normal its very unlikely that you have a blood problem. Regarding platelets, their number could be normal but functionality may be impaired but if the blood clotting time is normal, your wounds should be clotting on time!
