What Causes The Presence Of Significant Fluid In Pouch Of Douglas?
Gud morning! I have 3 questions: (1) A globular anteverted uterus with L-64mm, Tr-62mm and AP-45mm was demonstrated. Meaning please? (2)the endometrium appeared ill defined with homogenous myometrial echotexture. Meaning please? (3) significant fluid seen in the pouch of douglas. Meaning please? Thanks in anticipation!

1 . The numbers indicate the size of your uterus like from top to bottom, side to side and from front to back.
2. endometrium is the inner lining of uterus and myometrium is muscles of uterus. Homogenous implies same radioquality in muscle layer.
3 . Fluid in the pouch of douglas means there is some watery collection in the region behind the uterus.
This can occur when you ovulate, in case of infection or blood collection in ruptured cyst.
Consult doctor for further treatment.
