What Causes The Saliva To Turn Brown In Color?
I have recently started smoking tabacco and for the past day I have been coughing quite a bit, just now I couldn t stop for about 10 minutes and went to the toilet to spit out and clean my mouth, the spit was brown colour (looked a bit like when you have chocolate and you dont wash your mouth). After washing my mouth the spit was still brown colour (like chocolate or tabacco brown), should I be worried?

Coming back to your Query, It seems this can be either an infection in lungs causing cough and brown Expectorant(Sputum) or small bleeding within aerodigestive tract and causing expectorant of altered blood which is brown in colour. It would b worthwhile to investigate yourself with Xray Chest and if required HRCT chest and Upper GI Scopy.
