What Causes The Stomach To Fill With Fluid?
My dad has a tube draining an absces from Diverticulosis, but now he ate and his stomach filled with fluid. What does that mean and what causes it? They are going to give him a pill to get his stomach down but if that doesn't work they will stick a tube in his nose?

Abdomen distension may have several reasons, but here in this case it seems to be due to infection or the underlying pathology may develop the ascites.
If it is the ascites, then depends how much fluid is accumulated, high amount of fluid may requires tapping, beside this underlying pathology matters the great, and it should be taken under consideration.
