What Causes The Swelling Of The Tongue?

I am 66 and my touge swells up at various times without any warning, Mostly this happens at night and wakes me up. but it has happened in nthe day time too. I have been to an allergist and I am highly allergiic to sulfa drug.

nothing else showed up . This has been ongoing for 2 years or more, I keep an epie pen with me at all times now because it is getting worse.

Strictly avoid these drugs.Note down the list of drugs and foods you are allergic to.
You did not mention any other symptoms like lip swelling .
See your physician for a regime of steroids if it progresses.
