Hello,

Since you are having taste of ear wax in the mouth you should have your ears checked by an ENT. The eustachian tubes may allow mucus buildup in your middle ear to drain out into your throat and hence you are getting the taste of ear wax. If your ENT finds wax in your ears, he should give you wax cleaning drops like Otorex ear drops. Apply 2-3 drops thrice daily. When wax softens it will flow out, clean it with a soft cotton cloth. But your ENT may wash the ear and remove the wax, it is a clinical procedure and should be only done by an ENT.

The most common cause of not getting taste in the mouth is stuffy nose, common cold, or some serious medical conditions. Get examined to rule out sinusitis, or any nasal or dental infection that may cause difficulty in smelling. Get treated for the cause after it is detected. Your treating doctor may recommend various blood tests, imaging tests. Get it done, get treated at the earliest. Stay away from addictions if any. Take quality sleep and avoid stressful lifestyle.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
