What Causes The Urge To Urinate Very Frequently?

I went to the doctors because it felt like I was getting a UTI again, after getting over my first one about 2 months prior. I went to the bathroom and noticed a slight pain and burn feeling after going. Since I just had a UTI 2 months before, I was sure it was another UTI I was getting. As the day went on I felt nausea and felt like I had a slight fever and chills at the same time. Later on, I felt like I was going to throw up, but never did. But, I did have diarrhea a few times, but it didn t really smell or anything. It was just really liquidy. I had a urine test done, and there was nothing, except the doctor did say she found a little blood in it but that could have been due to leftover blood from my monthly cycle which I had just gotten over 3 or 4 days before. At the end, I was given a paper that said I had dysuria. She recommended that I drink plenty of water and cranberry juice. Since then, I ve been drinking water and taking cranberry pills until I m able to get cranberry juice. I woke up with a burning feeling in my bladder, and more diarrhea. It seems like the diarrhea is going to go away, but now every time I go to urinate, I ll go but then 5 minutes later I ll feel like I have to go again really badly, but I just went so I know there s nothing. Do you know what this could be? Am I just getting over dysuria? All my symptoms since the beginning: Slight pain/burn after urinating. Woke up feeling like I had a slight fever/chills at the same time. (I had no fever as the doctor confirmed this) Acute diarrhea (I m guessing) Slight headache Tired Urge to go number 1 all the time Slight nausea Symptoms I have NOW: Urge to urinate constantly Slight diarrhea (it s getting better I think) Maybe a burn here in there in bladder When I go number 1 I still feel there s more but can t No burn when I urinate but almost like a slight little pinch or poke feeling that lasts a second or two somewhere down there Thanks for any help!

Urologist 's  Response
Thanks for query .
Based on all the symptoms that you have you have acute UTI .

Please get your routine urine test and urine culture done to find out the organisms causing this infection and antibiotics to which they are sensitive to.

Please take broad spectrum antibiotics like Cefixime along with urinary antiseptic like Nitrofurantoin twice daily and urine alkalizer thrice daily .Later on switch on to appropriate antibiotics as per culture report.

Get the prescription of medicines from your family Physician.

Ensure to drink more water .To keep your urine dilute This will help to control dysuria.
