Hi dear, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Spotting on day 14-15 of the menstrual cycle is most likely due to the ovulation. It is known as Mittelsmersz bleeding and is due to hormonal changes leading to ovulation. Sometimes, it can be prolonged for 2-3 days. If very prolonged, then it can be due to implantation bleeding after fertilization. I suggest you not to worry if it stops in a week. Hope you found the answer helpful. Regards Dr Deepti Verma OBGYN
