Hi,

Depo Provera is a long acting progesterone preparation. This hormone has a side effect of irregular sporting, absent periods or profuse bleeding in between. This side effect tends to reduce in long run. One has to be very cautious about genital hygiene to avoid infection in such cases.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
