What Causes Thickening Of Endometrium With Mild Cramping?
50 yr old with irregular periods probably every 2-3 months for the last 6 months. 3 months ago just before menses endometruim measured .7cm, 2 months later repeat sono with a 1.2cm endometrium..I thought I would have a period by now but nothing happened but mild cramping at times...

Thickened endometrium is due to hormonal activity. Normally the endometrial wall thickens due to lack of periods. You are in your 50's.The cramping sensation occur before the dates.As you have already had sonography done other causes of cramping is excluded. Please have pap's smear done and revert back with report.You can take analgesics for pain relief.
