What Causes Thickening Of The Uterus?
My girlfriend visited her gynacologist and he felt some thickening of the uterus. He assumed pregnancy right away because she is a couple days late. We always use condoms so I doubt that she is pregnant but could there be some chance of pregnancy despite condoms? He told her to do a pregnancy test which freaked us out:S Why would he assume pregnancy? Could this be an indicator of smth else?

Only thickening in uterus is not confirmatory of pregnancy.
Pregnancy is confirmed by visualization of gestational sac(G-sac).
So,she need follow up scan after one week.
Thickening of uterus may be due many reasons.Pregnancy is confirmed by thickening of endometrium and visualization of G-sac.
