What Causes Thickening Of Uterus Lining With Formation Of Polyps?
My gyno did an ultrasound of my uterus and ovaries and found a polyp in my uterus and also said my uterus was 16mm thick. This is alarming to me. She wants to do a biopsy and D&C. Will this fix the problem? What questions do I need to ask and does it automatically mean I have cancer?

hi healthcare magic user, if the sonography is showing thicken endometrium means possiblity of cancer endometrial hyperplasia due to hormonal imbalance.
other possibility is precancerous lesions or cancer that can be ruled out with endometrial biopsy.
