What Causes Thorn Stuck Like Pain In Vagina?

Hi, for a couple of years I ve been getting this pain in my vagina, it feels like I have a thorn stuck in my clitorus and I only experience this pain maybe once a week. I have to cool the area with ice or cold baby wipes to stop the pain. Otherwise it lasts roughly 25 minutes, it s rather uncomfortable. Someone suggested an std but I ve been experiencing this pain before I was sexually active. What could it be?

Hallow Dear,

Such pain is characteristic of some vaginal infection, mostly the fungal or yeast infection; though bacterial or Trichomonal infection also may give such symptoms. There is vaginal discharge with such infections. The fungal discharge is curdy while, Trichmoal is greenish white while the bacterial can be either mucoid or pus like yellowish green.

Fungal infection can be treated with local anti-fungal medicines, Trichomona is treated by Metronidazole while the bacterial infections require antibiotics. Along with, use Lactobacilli vaginal ovule and perineal wash.

Please report to your Gynaecologist.
