hi,recently i have been getting these flutter feelings in my throat, sometimes it gets so strong it makes me cough, i have had this problem off and on for quite some time now but lately it seems like its happening every day. any ideas on what this could be?
Hi, the problem can be because of some muscle twitching in the throat region. If it is not affecting your speech, there is nothing to be worried about. Usually it is because of some reflux of acid from the throat and that irritates the larynx and can lead to such a sensation. Please take a three weeks course of proton pump inhibitor and the problem should be over. If no, please see an ENT and a laryngeal examination is warranted. Regards
