What Causes Throat Infection And Swelling In The Glands Around The Neck?

My glands around my neck are very swollen, i ve had a throat infection, headache s, a temperature, sweating in the night, back ache s and pains, extreme tiredness but the worst thing at the moment is my eyes. They re really swollen and puffed up and they don t seem to be getting any better. I ve had a blood test, testing for glandular fever and i get the results on wednesday! It s just if that comes back negative i ll be left with no answer as to why i m showing all those symptoms!

Hello,

Your symptoms are suggestive of a local infection. It could be Mononucleosis or a sinus infection. For this reason, besides complete blood count, it is necessary checking for Mononucleosis, performing a throat discharge bacterial culture and also a sinus X-ray study for sinus infection.

You should discuss with your doctor on the above tests.
