What Causes Throat Irritation And Excessive Salivation?

Hello, my name is April Waltz. I m having throat irritation, cough, an extremely watery mouth, an extreme amount of constant belching- to the point that I can hardly sleep. Any ideas about what this could be? I have acid reflux and sinus allergies, but they ve never been this bad before. Help!!! It s driving me crazy.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You may be suffering from acute pharygitis due to gastroesophageal reflux disease. Avoid spicy food and alcohol avoid smoking and caffeine drinks Elevate the head end of the bed. Use tablet Pantoprazole before breakfast for one week. Use salt water gargling thrice a day for five days. If symptoms not improved please consult Gastroentrologist he will examine and do upper GI scopy and treat you accordingly.
