Hello dr I am zeena 33 year female have pain in the throat and cold also getting ear pains and some nodes small nodes in the neck past four days am passing some blood through the stool thyroid is normal.....history of asthma and took last steriods in November.
Hi. It appears that you have a bad case of upper respiratory tract infection suggestive of common cold, ear pain due to a blocked eustachian tube (ET) which connects the back of the nose to the ear causing pain by increasing negative pressure within the ear and throat pain due to the infected mucous dripping into the throat from the nose causing the throat pain.
Enlarged lympnodes in the neck confirm the presence of an infection with your symptomatology. It is suggestive of a bacterial infection.
In my opinion I would recommend that you see an ENT specialist for an evaluation, blood workup (CBC) and a nasal endoscopy. If I were your treating doctor, I would start you on a course of antibiotics, paracetamol, nasal decongestants and saline nasal sprays for about 5 days. I would also recommend oral antiseptic gargling for your throat pain.
Please see the doctor for a prescription. Do let me know if you have any other questions.
