What Causes Throat Pains With Headaches?

im 15 years old and last night at around 7 i started to get a small headache and my throat started to hurt,i gargoled salt water and took a advil and went to sleep fine, now this morning i had a slight headache with a bad sore throat?any ideas on what it is and what i should do?

Headache and sore throat indicates upper respiratory tract infection.
Headache will decrease with treatment of the inflammation.
This is treated by the use of antibiotics and anti-inflammatory drug.
