What Causes Throat Soreness With Mucus, Laryngitis And Aching?
Hi there, I have had a sore throat for 4 days, and today I am blowing green snot (large amounts) out of my nose, I have been aching and tired for the last 4 days all over my body. I now have lost my voice for the last 2 days. What is wrong with me? Do I need to go and get antibiotics for this or will it clear up in it s own time?
Noted your history of sore throat for 4 days, green snot from nose, feeling tired and have body ache, wants to whether this will get okay on its own or needs an antibiotic. Green snot means an active infection that is most probable coming from sinuses to nose to the throat. This close cavity infection gives body ache and general symptoms of malaise and fever. Hence you need a prescription based antibiotic, symptomatic and supportive treatment. Hence I would advise you the following in such a situation: Consult your Doctor for clinical examination, tests of blood and throat swab. Proper antibiotic. Nasal drops. Anti-inflammatory like Ibuprofen if it suits you. Oral decongestants. Bed rest and maintain hydration.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
