From your question, it seems you do not really have thrush - which refers to ( Candida ) fungal infection / inflammation of the oral cavity / throat lining. I feel what you are refrerring to as thrush is most likely are some debris which usually collects in the tonsils. The Tonsils have small crypts which are depressions on the surface and they usually become a site for collection of food debris and over a period of time some people routinely find they are bringing out small chunks of creamy coloured material which have a foul smell. These are usually harmless and gargling may help but not compulsory. If you are still in doubt, you can consult an ENT doctor for a routine evaluation and closer examination.
