What Causes Throbbing On Finger Tip With Swelling And Pink Nail?
Last night at bedtime noticed my left pointer fingertip was throbbing. Felt like maybe paper but under nail (yet didn t recall getting a paper cut). Worse today. Now whole fingertip is swollen, and tender-under nail and pad. Nail is red/pink. Earlier Put antibiotic ointment and bandaid on-no help. Ice didn t help much. Soaking in warm water now, feels better. Does hurt right under nail-feels like a tiny cut. But hurts down by cuticle as well. No puss or blisters.
Hi!! I have gone through your history and according to me it is a case of nail bed infection. You will have to take course of oral antibiotic like amoxycillinclavulanic acid combination twice daily along with antiinflammatory medicine like serratiopeptidase aceclofenac combination twice daily. continue applying topical antibiotic and go for hot fermentation of the nail. This treatment has to be followed for 5-7 days and your symptoms will resolve.
