What Causes Throbbing Pain In Groin And Thigh Region?
5 days ago, I had pain in my left side groin area. It has slowley gotten worse and has traveled down my thigh, and today past my knee, just above my ankle. When I get up to walk, the throbbing pain down my entire leg causes me to stop & lift my leg q couple of steps. That takes the edge off, but still throbs. When laying down, the pain continues in my groin & thigh area, making it difficult to sleep.
I have studied your case and I think you are having lumbar spondylitis. Pain in back along with hip, knee and foot is caused by disc herniation in the back. . I have following suggestion for patients with lumbar spondylitis. 1. Get MRI to confirm how severe is nerve compression. According to that we can plan further management. 2.Pelvic traction exercise will help. Also back muscle strengthening exercises is useful. 3. Avoid keeping back in same position for long time and also do not do heavy weight lifting and sudden bending. 4. Take Pregabalin and Methylcobal for shoulder pain. Muscle relaxant like Myoril or Myospaz is helpful for neck pain. I hope these measures will be helpful in you. Let me know if there is any other followup questions. thanks
