What Causes Throbbing Pain In My Temples With Sensitivity To Light And Sound?
I have a throbbing pain around my temples, sensitivity to light and sound. Round colored floating dots in my vision on occassion. occassionaly having a few seconds of total black outs in my vision and sometimes my hearing. occassionaly loosing balance during movements. pain increases with any activity. headache constantly 24/7 everyday for past 14 days. I have tried over the counter medicine, went to an eye doctor thought maybe it was my glasses he stated my eyes were fine to see a regular doctor. sleep helps sometimes to ease the pain.I m 32 years old and I am female.
A migraine headache is characterised by unilateral/bilateral headache with /without nausea/vomiting with/without aura(premonitory symptom could be visual,auditory,tactile etc).Oversensitivity to light,noise,stressors is also a feature.A good sleep usually relieves migraine headaches.Precipitating factors varies for patients and includes travel,lack of sleep,missing a meal,anxiety.Treatment icludes drugs used to abolish an attack(ibuprofen,naproxen,ergotsetc)abd drugs to control attacks(calcium channel blockers,antiepileptics,betablockers etc.Kindly consult your gp/neurologist for expert management
