What Causes Throbbing Pain Of Arms When I Bend Elbow?

My arms throb when I bend at the elbows. One side turns blueish. I also cannot bend my knees for too long. This also affects my sleeping, as I have to make myself try to keep arms and legs straight. It s impossible to sleep in the only comfortable way - on my side.

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello,

I would explain that your symptoms could be related to peripheral arteriopathy or peripheral neuropathy with liability to pressure palsies.

For this reason, I would recommend performing a Doppler ultrasound of the leg vessels and nerve conduction studies. You should discuss with your doctor on the above tests.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
