What Causes Throbbing Painful Collar Bone, Nausea Along With Headache?

I have a sudden sharp, shooting pain in my collar bone almost exactly in the middle between my shoulder and my neck. Its a throbbing pain and I feel very nauseous. I also have a headache and when I press on certain parts of my head, it almost sends a wave type sensation intensifying my head pain, collar bone pain and nausea. Its been about 1 hour and it hasn t seemed to decrease with time.

Hello,

I have studied your case.
Due to compression of this nerve root there is tingling numbness in your shoulder and neck.
I will advise you to MRI cervical spine for better diagnosis.

It can be due to various causes like sudden jerk to spine, due to facet arthritis, degenerative.
For these symptoms analgesic and neurotropic medication can be started.
Till time, avoid lifting weights, Sit with support to back. You can consult physiotherapist for help.
Physiotherapy like ultrasound and interferential therapy will give quick relief.
Local injection may help if pain remains persistent.
