What Causes Thumping Pressure In Ear After Using Ear Bud?
Hey docs, and okay so last night i used cottonbud to clean my ear and i think im going way too deep on the left one and i go to sleep normally, then after i woke up in the morning i start to feel like a thumping pressure on my left ear after yawning just like when u try to pop it while the plane is start descending but only the left one.. no pain or anything only feel the thumping after yawning.. Was i ruptured some organ in my left ear? the thing is, i dont have time to go to doctors, way too busy.. So any suggestion will be much appreciated
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted your history of self cleaning by you with a earbud and development of thumping pressure in the left ear on waking up in the morning. Since there is a history of ear cleaning by you, it is possible that you have desquamated a part of the ear canal. This can lead to the inflammation of the ear structures. Another possibility is that the inflammation might have traversed from the nose or throat to the middle ear cavity. In either cases there is a possibility of secretory changes and you need a proper clinical evaluation and examination by the ENT Surgeon to find the proper diagnosis and treatment.
