What Causes Thyroid Problems After Spinal Surgery?

I have had two surgeries on my cervical spine (neck) one with a fusion. They did one going in from the front and 9 be from the back. Now I have thyroid problems. These do not run in my family. After a lot of thought I have come to the conclusion that I had damage to my thyroid during one or both of the surgeries. How do I go about proving this?

Thanks for posting in HCM
Your blood vessels or nerves to thyroid gland can be damaged during any neck surgery.Anyhow, tests are needed to confirm.
