What Causes Tight Bloated Stomach?

Dear Sir,

My symtoms include a tight, sore tummy where I cannot bear the pressure of trousers that fit properly. Also feel bloated and have several bowel movements before any relief is noticed.The stool apears normal and not lose. I sip hot boiled water that does seem to help a little. I have had a scan on my tummy and all is well. This has persisted for 3 weeks upto now. I an living in Qatar where medical diagnosis can be off the mark ...! would appreciate you advice.Thank you PETER EDMUNDS

Some advice that I can give to you are:
-Avoid chewing gum.
-Limit your intake of carbonated drinks.
-Avoid foods that cause gas, such vegetables in the cabbage family, dried beans, and lentils.
-Eat slowly and avoid drinking through a straw.
-Use lactose-free dairy products
-Use over the counter option like simethicone
