What Causes Tightness And Sensitivity Around Vagina After Having Mirena IUD?
Can the mirena iud cause vaginal tightness. 3 weeks after the iud was placed my boyfriend and i made love my vagina felt very tight. Tighter than usual. It was kinda painful, a bit, and 2 days later i still feel a bit sensitive. I haven t had sex again, but just living normal life i am very aware of my vagina, like in it being sore.

Some kind of vaginal discomfort and pain is quite common with any intra uterine devices. It will resolve in couple of days as your body adapt to it.
If the symptoms persist for long, you have to consult you gynaecologist and check whether the IUD misplaced or not.
