I just had a stress test today and the dr said that my heart is fantastic. That in itself is good news. The problem is that when I exercise for more than 10 min I get a heavy squeezing feeling in my chest bad enough to make me stop exercising. Then I get a rush of blood to my head and get a really bad headache. This has been going on for two months now. Any ideas
Thanks for your question on HCM. Since your stress test is negative, no need to worry for cardiac cause. In your case I can think of two etiologies. 1. Exercise induced asthma 2. Anxiety. So consult pulmonologist and get done PFT ( Pulmonary Function Test ) to rule out exercise induced asthma. If this is normal than no need to worry much. You might be having anxiety. So avoid stress and tension. Be relax and calm.
