Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The answer to your tightness may be the tight tensor fascia lata which is present in your thigh as a band. It's tightness is often found in people doing more of the hamstring utilizing athletes like you.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sukhmin Singh, Orthopedic Surgeon
