I have a problem with my left eye. I wore soft daily contact lenses. At first it was painful when I blinked so I removed lenses and had a course of steroids. Now it s 4 months in and my left eye lids feel very tight . The tightness manifests at different locations in the eyelid It is ruining my quality of life as the feeling is always there and I cannot forget it
Hello ,welcome to HCM. Your symptoms are suggestive of chronic allergy in your eyes. Your ophthalmologist has prescribed your the right eye drops (Alaway),but I think you are not responding to it/you have not used it continuously.Since you have mentioned light sensitivity and cloudy vision, you need to see your ophthalmologist again, so he/she can assess your Cornea (front clear part of the eye) and make sure no abnormalities and prescribe you with more stronger drops as needed. Continue using Alaway drops 2 times a day along with OTC oral anti allergic tablet like Zyrtec/Claritin once everynight until your appointment. Also adding a good OTC lubricant eye drops 4-6 times a day will help you in washing the allergen away. Try finding out the cause of this allergic reaction- any new outdoor activity/ garden/pet and take precautions when handling them.
Your HbA1C is definitely not in a good status. So try bringing it under control to maintain a good Retina.
Take care.
