Severe neck tightness and pain and front of neck is itchy. I ve had some dental work but dentist think it s TMJ. I don t think it s TMJ , how do I know if it s not something else the neck tightness won t go away. I also feel like my hormones are out of sort. I m a 32 ur old female.
If you had dental work than it could be TMJ, take NSAIDS (Combiflam) when there is a pain, it will reduce the inflammation/tightness & make you feel better. Gargle with a medicated mouthwash (Listerine/Hexidine.)
However, muscle sprain, strain, poor or bad posture, get physically examined. Yes, you can get a thorough medical checkup done to evaluate if you need HRT-Hormone replacement therapy.)
For itching, you can apply Hydrocortisone cream/Neomycin cream. Take non-sedating antihistamines. Stay away from stress, anxiety, addictions and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
