What Causes Tightness/pain In Chest, Neck, Shoulder And Back?

i have been having tightness/pain in my chest, neck, shoulder and back off and on for about 6 months. 2 months ago this symptom was accompanied by what felt like my heart flipping over in my chest. This sensation has increased over the last two months. For the last 7 days this sensation has happened about 10 or 15 times per day sometimes accompanied with tightness/pain. I am 44 yrs old, female, and weigh around 190#. I do not have hypertension, however, I do have a family history of hypertension and heart disease. Could this simply be a sign of stress/anxiety, as my life does tend to be stressful sometimes, or could this indicate a serious condition?

Hi
Palpitations make you feel like your heart is beating too hard or too fast, skipping a beat, or fluttering. You may notice heart palpitations in your chest, throat, or neck.
They usually aren't serious or harmful, though, and often go away on their own. Most of the time, they're caused by stress and anxiety, or because you’ve had too much caffeine, nicotine, or alcohol.
So frequent papitations can be because of anxiety also but at first we have to find out the nature of palpitations=
a Holter monitor occasionally ambulatory electrocardiography device) is a portable device for continuously monitoring various electrical activity of the cardiovascular system for at least 24 hours (often for two weeks at a time).all rythms will be recorde and treatment could be done

for chest pain a 2d echo and tread mill test are adviced to rule out ischemia.
