What Causes Tingling And Burning Sensation In The Body While On Acyclovir And Metformin?
MY FRIEND TAKE ACLIVAR (Sp) AS A PREVENTATIVE FOR HERPES SIMPEX LESIONS IN MOUTH. I DON T KNOW THE DOSE BUT WONDER ABOUT LONG TERM USE. SHE IN ON BP MEDS AND METFORMAN FOR DAIBETES. SHE TAKES SOME OTC SUPPLEMENTS,NOT SURE WHAT. SHE HAS HAD TINGLING AND BURNIG SENSATIONS ALL OVER BODY THE LAST COUPLE OF DAYS....DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEAS.
Burning sensations are usually related to abnormal nerve function. Herpes can cause tingling and other sensations but this tends to occur in the affected area only. The abnormal function of the nerve is called neuropathy. Diabetes is a cause of neuropathy as well. She may need to consider seeing a neurologist for assessment. I hope this helps.
Thank you for the query. Hope this clarifies your concerns.
Take care
