I had a blood draw last Monday. The needle burned coming out and shortly after began to have swelling in my forearm. Two days later I began have horrific brushing and pain. By Friday I had tingling in my fingers along with numbness. What is going on and how long before I get better?
Your symptoms could be related to a local infection in the injection region. For this reason, I would recommend consulting with your doctor for a physical exam and inflammation tests (complete blood count, PCR, sedimentation rate). Starting antibiotic therapy may be needed.
