Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
For a week I been feeling tingling in both my arms on and off. I still have sensation in my hands and fingers and still can maintain a good grip. When I try to sleep at night my arms keep me awake w/ a tingling or warm sensation. No pain at all just an annoying feeling. Any idea what might be causing this?
Hello, Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that you are suffering from sensation like tingling in both arms on and off. It may be due to cervical spondylosis. It can be confirmed by x-rays. MRI of spine rule out other causes. Neck exercises, Diacerine, glucosamine sulfate, neurotropics such as methycobalamin and analgesics such as ibuprofen give relief. Sometimes vitamin D deficiency and vitamin B-12 deficiency can be cause of this so serum vitamin D and vitamin B-12 test is advised if these are low than vitamin D and B-12 supplementation will be required. You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it. I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query. Take care.
