My wife got a flu shot yesterday and broke out on hives and had to go to the er where they gave her an iv of benedryl and a steroid. She was getting ready for work this morning when her arms from the elbow down to her fingertips began tingling. What would cause this?

Welcome to HCM.
Your wife is having a tingling from elobow downwards. Look it may not be related to the disease or medications. Few days of steroids or benadryl will not usually cause it. It may be due to some pressure over elbow region, that we encounter in daily life like watching tv on sitting a chair. So no need to worry about it. Just wait for few more days if it persist or gets aggravated then consult a physician.
Good luck.
