What Causes Tingling In The Head And Face?

I have tingling in my head, face, and sometimes in my big tow. When I read my blood presure it's usually 149/65. My normal blood pressure when feeling fine is around 120/60. The symptoms I've read for high blood presure don't mention tingling in the head or face. Can you clarify this for me?

Hello dear,
I can understand your concern.Your complaint of tingling in head, face and big toe is accompanied with increased pulse pressure(pulse pressure=systolic pressure-diastolic pressure which is :149-65=84: in your case, but normal is upto 40).Anxiety is the most common cause of increased pulse pressure and, in setting of non-localizing(which does not indicate any particular nervous system or neuraxis involvement) tingling ,the diagnosis of 'Anxiety' is further supported. With variability in your BP,that too just borderline high occasionally, you can't be classified as Hypertensive. You need to do some mental relaxation exercises and if the complaints persist even after then, please get yourself examined by your physician.I hope it helps.
